Feeling Your Inner World (Guided Meditation)

Hello!
I hope everyone is going as well as can be for you. I wanted to share here that I had this overwhelming need to create a video today, but I wasn’t sure if it was going to be a talk, or guided meditation, or something else (who knows, I just get creative)! I do believe that as much as I share what feels so good in my body to share via recording (or in an in person group when lock down isn’t on), I somehow get something from it as well. Sometimes I get an energy boost from doing what I love. Or I get the creative ‘bug’, and start writing after the video where it’s like my fingers tap to some invisible rhythm and the words become the melody, or I become calm and open and spacious within. The latter occurred today. I so enjoyed sharing a meditation that I apparently needed to do myself! I love how things work, beyond what my little mind can ever imagine!! If you consider that we are all some how connected in this soup of energy, then hopefully this recorded meditation will help you, too.

Mini Meditations for Mothers!

Hi all,
Here is my video outlining a simple mini meditation when we are dealing with our children, and needing to stay calm! Meditation doesn’t have to be done in a cave completely still! It is something to apply in every moment of our lives to be present, embodied and aware. But it starts in small practices first. Give it a try! It’s worked for many clients, and it works for me!

You’re in a Marriage. You’ve Outgrown it. What do you do?

There are so many aspects to look at when you feel like you’ve outgrown your marriage. In this video, I explore the sign posts to step through to see if the relationship can begin again, or if it simply is not in the highest for either one of you. Use everything in your life to grow, to know thyself. Please don’t throw this opportunity away to learn more about yourself and what aligns and what doesn’t.

With the Sound of Music song wafting into my mind- “Climb every mountain, board every stream, follow every rainbow….” makes me feel that perhaps it’s best to get your learnings from your husband/ wife now, then to continue the patterns with someone else? If, of course, both are prepared to a certain extent to do this.

Being a Mother, PMS and Being on the Path

Today is a ‘meh’ day. You ever get the days where everything moves in slow motion, even seemingly time. Usually it goes quickly! I wanted to come here and just be raw. Be real. I noticed I want to wrap myself in a gentle blanket today. I want to be so gentle with myself that outside influences feel like penetrating knives into my world. Such is my sensitivity right now….

So in the rest of this paragraph I am going to mention stuff for women- men, proceed to paragraph 2:

It is my time to be in PMS. It’s my time to honour what in ancient times in many different tribes around the world was honoured to be the most psychic and connected time for a woman. It is marked now by tiredness, anger, impatience in this time and responsibilities in the Western world…. but, the time prior to the period and during, in the past, women were honoured and how they served themselves with gentleness and quiet time to self and reflection, also served the tribe. Their roles changed. If a mystical question needed to be asked, they would seek out a woman who was in the ‘space’ to answer.

I have decided to be gentle with myself as much as possible. To flow with my own rhythm. Despite having two vivacious boys and a loud and often busy household. But if I turn my attention to it, then I can make a difference in my every day moments. I have found time to slip away and write this! But I am open to this being interrupted and changing. I am also hoping to meditate after this is typed out, in honour of the quiet contemplation and sacred rituals of my ancient ancestors, and bringing just a little more mystery into my quietude today.

I really hope that you can create time today for yourself and what you and your body needs.

Enough is Enough

It breaks me. It makes me sink to my knees perplexed at how we have managed to end up here. In this place where it is a rarity to collectively feel relaxed, happy and content. Where we don’t say the words, ‘It’s just the way it is. What do you do?’ Do? DO?

I’m not buying it any longer. Stay on your lounge eating potato chips while the world around you slowly dies. Stay glued to the TV while you numb yourself from thoughts about the stresses of the days work. Stay looking at the next holiday so you can escape this madness for a while- maybe you can pay it off? Maybe you’ll get a nasty credit card bill that only adds to your stress when you return. Return. RETURN!

Return, that’s it. If you stay glued to this cycle then you won’t know what else life can offer…. and there IS SO MUCH MORE. But it takes guts. It takes change. It takes not fucking throwing your life away on sedentary, numbing, melancholic things or practices. It takes challenging yourself to learn new things. It takes doing things just for yourself to enjoy. It takes stopping those thoughts of ‘I can’t, I have no time.’ What have you done? To have no time to live? What has happened to you? When did you stop fucking loving yourself??? Leading by example of how interesting and limitless life can be? Did you ever watch your parents or an adult having no time as a kid? Did it look like fun? Did it look like a good use of energy? Time to break free of this outdated pattern structure within us. Don’t worry, your family will still exist and love you. It’s time to consciously look at why we do the things we do, and take our sovereign power back.

I’m not writing this to get you to feel shame. I’m writing this to shake you up, shake you a little to let some of the truth seep in. You are in charge of your life. Not your kids, not your husband, not your job…. YOU. Take responsibility for this and make the change. You know WHAT needs to happen inside. YOU know what YOU uniquely love. Come back to YOU. Even if it’s rising 30 minutes before the house hold to do something just for you- yoga, a work out, meditation, drawing, writing… whatever it is. Give yourself the time. Like a long lost friend coming to town to see you- you’d create time for them, right? Well, do it for YOU! Daily! What do YOU NEED? You’re bloody well worth it. And your relationships will thrive the more you thrive.

It’s time to give back to Self. It’s time to create space. It’s time to stop looking outwards and start to make the changes to come back into our own power. For when we shift our internal world, the world around us shifts too. And you become a beacon of light, living by example of the fact it can be done. Change can happen and it’s worth it, even if it’s an internal shift. Pass on the torch. Be the change. I’m with you.
